We will be thoroughly assessing each step\/criteria.   Failure to complete the summer assignment on-time will result in forfeiting one&#8217;s spot in the 2026-27 post-high program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Note Before You Begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This assignment is designed to help us understand your current skills and how you approach the animation process. It is\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0about creating a perfect portfolio piece, and we encourage you\u00a0not to overwork or overthink it.  Please complete the assignment using the instructions provided and within the expected timeframe. We are much more interested in seeing your authentic work than something that has been polished for countless hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we review your submission, we will be looking at several things:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>How well you follow instructions.<\/strong>\u00a0Reading carefully and completing each requirement is an important part of working in animation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Your attention to detail.<\/strong>\u00a0Small details matter throughout the production pipeline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Your current skill level.<\/strong>\u00a0We want an honest snapshot of where you are today so we know how best to support your growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Your ability to manage your time and meet deadlines.<\/strong>\u00a0Completing work on schedule is a critical skill in both school and the animation industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember, this assignment is\u00a0not about being the most advanced artist\/animator. We are looking for students who are willing to learn, can follow direction, and are committed to growing throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do your best, trust your current abilities, and enjoy the process.
