Working at CBC\/Radio-Canada for the past three years and having no freelance work really gave me no choice but to make a news graphics reel \ud83d\ude42<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Included are animations mainly used within news stories in different forms of infographics and video explainers. A good amount of stings used for various news segments are also included as you probably noticed it takes up almost half the reel.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>I&#8217;d also like to point out that because of the type of how our department operates, a great majority of these projects are created the day it is requested \u2014 many times, deadlines anywhere between one and four hours are given. News is current, news is breaking, news is daily, and even hourly. I&#8217;ve been fortunate to have worked with a great group of people that have created assets and developed workflows that make these daily requests a lot easier to manage. It was a personal project I tackled off-and-on whenever I had time for it. I initially chose this piece because I&#8217;m a fan of the spoken word artist and I particularly enjoyed this piece. Roughly half way through, I decided to complete the piece as a nice gift to my wife on our 2nd year anniversary.
