Open to Youth aged 16 -19 years old. Program runs from February 8 \u2013 April 26, 2017<\/h1>\n

Lead Mentor: Milos Mitrovic Program Partner: Winnipeg Film Group<\/strong>
\nThis program, led by a professional filmmaker, will introduce participants to the art of filmmaking, from writing and storytelling to the technical side of making films. Youth will meet with a variety of guest mentors from Manitoba\u2019s film industry. Participants will have the opportunity to make and screen a short film.
\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong> Winnipeg Film Group \u2013 3rd Floor – 100 Arthur St.
\nTime:<\/strong> 6:00 \u2013 8:00
\nDates: <\/strong>Every Wednesday, from Feb. 8 until Apr. 27 (No session on March
\n29th due to Spring Break). There will also be a one-weekend shoot \u2013 April 8 & 9.
\nFilm screening special event – Wednesday, April 26 at Cinematheque<\/strong>
\nAll selected youth will:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Demonstrate strong aptitude and interest in storytelling, writing, communications or technical aspects of filmmaking.<\/li>\n
  2. Articulate concise goals for participation (on the application form).<\/li>\n
  3. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning.<\/li>\n
  4. Demonstrate basic computer skills -program communication will be conductedon-line.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Application process:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Discuss your application with a \u2018nominator\u2019 (adult not related to you), who is a present or former teacher or other leader in an artistic discipline<\/li>\n
    2. Have nominator fill out the Nominator\u2019s Form (part of your Application Form) and ask that it be returned to you<\/li>\n
    3. Fill out the application form – include a teacher\u2019s signature, if you are in high school.<\/li>\n
    4. Submit completed form along with your resume if you have one. Applicants under 18years of age require the signature of a parent or guardian.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
