Mehra graduated from Sisler High School\u2019s CREATE program in 2017 and went on to study Film Production at Vancouver Film School. He has since worked as a Locations Scout for Manitoba Film & Music, and on various film productions helmed by Amblin, Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox and more. While working in the industry, he continued working on his own creative projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Lover Boy\u2019s Little Dream\u2019 was supported by the Harold Greenberg Fund \u2013 a national funding organization that supports the development of Canadian films. The rotoscoped animated short film was created with the help of many other CREATE grads and students. It is a romantic comedy inspired by Japanese animation styles and tropes about \u2018Lover Boy\u2019 and his journey to find the courage to confess his love to his long-time love interest Mimi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am grateful to be given the opportunity to participate the Cannes Short Film Corner through my film,\u201d said Mehra. \u201cMy team spent so much time, energy and love on this film and it makes me happy that it is being recognized by others. It would be a crime to not give a shout out to my family and mentors for their continued support – making the project possible in the first place.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Film Market or March\u00e9 du Film is the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival and one of the largest film markets in the world. Projects are presented to international industry professionals \u2013 including marketers and distributors.
