\nEquitable Bank is pleased to announce our Emerging Digital Artists Award (EDAA). The award caters to artists early in their careers, who are working within the screen and experimenting with the limits of digitally rendered imagery. Applicants are encouraged to play with moving image formats such as video, animation, and GIF art.
\nIf you\u2019re an emerging digital or video artist based in Canada, apply by filling out an online application form here. Then, upload your resume and the artwork file to complete the application. The call closes on September 30, 2015.
\nWhat happens next?
\nFive finalists will be selected by our esteemed panel of judges\u2014Aleksandra Kaminska, Marissa Neave, and Lauren Pelc-McArthur\u2014and invited to show their work at a screening event in Toronto, to be held at the Art Gallery of Ontario on October 30, 2015. At the end of the screening, the first EDAA winner will be announced and offered a $5000 monetary award. The award includes Equitable Bank\u2019s acquisition of the winning artwork, which will be displayed on-screen in our company\u2019s head office in Toronto.
