About the VFS 4 day Intensive Workshop @ Sisler
The focus of this workshop is very much on directing actors, and the goal/intent is to bring together students from the Film and Theatre classes/programs at Sisler. The deliverables will follow this format:

Total number of students: 54 students
- 24 students from IDM and 30 from theatre.
Production Groups/Teams:
- 5 production/teams in total
- comprising of 4-5 crew members
- 3 main actors
- 3 background actors/extras who will also fulfill production crew duties
Equipment:
- Canon HD cameras. Many models.
- Lumhawk and Coleman cool lights
Notes:
- 5 scripts are to be shot (and therefore 5 production teams are required)
- Sisler to determine production teams beforethe start of the workshop, with crew roles assigned (Directors, Camera ops, etc.).Sisler will not cast the roles yet. VFS team will oversee casting during the workshop.

Tuesday, November 22nd / Day 2 | |
9- 10 am (Theatre) | Entire group in attendance· Casting / Instructions · Text analysis introduction / instructions · Breakout |
10 – 11:45 am (5 break out rooms) | Each team to work in their own space · Each group begins text analysis of scripts · Assign roles (3 actors, background extras) |
12 – 12:45 | · Lunch |
12:45-1:30 pm (5 break out rooms or IDM classroom?) |
· Rehearsing · Script breakdown (schedule) · Creating shot list · Set/production protocols, blocking NOTE: Rondel and Missy to decide if any of these elements should be taught first to larger group before sending to Breakout room. Large theatre is not available at this time but IDM classroom is |
