We’re counting down the days until we roll out the big screen at Sisler!
On the morning of Friday, December 9th, Sisler’s IDM, French and History students will fill the Taras Koral Theatre for a screening of the film Iron Road – a story about love and the lives of Chinese migrants during their construction of the Canadian Pacfic Railway.
After the film, students will have the opportunity for a live Q&A with casting director and Producer Anne Tait. She will be joined by Chinese historian Dr. Alison Marshall, PhD, to help address any questions students might have about Chinese and Filipino history in Canada. Students will also get a chance to chat with members of the local film industry and REEL CANADA crew.
We are so excited to offer yet another meaningful experience for our students!
