We are very excited to announce that Shaw TV will be joining us live to help document Sisler IDM’s 4th annual Game On event! Equipped with their broadcasting “flight pack,” Community Access Producers Tracy Koga, Rudy Gauer & Billy Fung will show a dozen Sisler students how to professionally plan, interview, shoot, design and edit for a real TV program. Throughout the two-day workshop, students will develop skills in:
- Camera operation
- Live-to-tape direction
- Switcher control
- ENG Recording
- On-camera technique
- Interview staging
- Lighting
- Mic’ing
- Editing & much more
Once production is complete, students will work at Sisler and ShawTV’s headquarters to key and edit a full-length program which will air on Shaw TV. So stay tuned!

February 1st
9:00am – Students arrive
10:00am – 11:00am Interviews with keynote speakers
11:00am – 12:00pm B roll
12:00pm – 1:00pm – Lunch
1:00pm – 3:00pm – Student interviews & team stories are developed
3:00pm – Students are dismissed
February 2nd

10:00am – 12:00am ENG footage, student interviews & B roll

Tracy Koga
Senior Producer
Tracy Koga is a true Manitoban, born and raised in Winnipeg, and now happily married and raising her family here. Tracy is a former dancer with The Royal Winnipeg Ballet going through the school ranks, graduating right into the company. After dancing around the world, she settled down back home and landed an opportunity to work for Shaw TV covering arts and entertainment. For more than 10 years with Shaw TV, Tracy enjoys producing and hosting “Backstage” everyday, and working on TV specials that have taken her to Disney World, Churchill and The Pas in Manitoba’s north, and as far away as Israel!
