Post-High Strategy:
We are adapting a new Post-High strategy for the 2020-21 school year due to COVID19 and it is important that we take the needed time to plan your cohorts properly.
We are trying to cohort post-high students, please be patient!
Post-high students will be split into 4 Groups for the first week of school. Groups will be generated by the students’ surname. Group 1 will attend in-person classes on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. Group 2 will attend in-person classes on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings. Group 3 will attend in-person classes on Thursday mornings and Friday afternoons. Group 4 will attend in-person classes on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings. Mondays will be assigned for recovery learning, conferences by invitation, resource, assessment and online maintenance. This strategy will eliminate congregating students during lunch hour and spares. Please note that:
- all post-high students will follow assigned for the week of September 8-11 only!
- we hope to have a revised post-high cohort strategy in place for the start of week 2 (September Tuesday the 15th- Friday the 19th)

Please note!
- If you are a post-high student, inform your school assigned teacher that you are suppose to be in post-high cohort. They will give you more information for next steps.
- Please email Mr Leduc (JLeduc at WSD1.org) and Mr Alibudbud (BAlibudbud at WSD1.org) asap.
- In the subject line insert “your name post-high request”
- In the email content area, please provide the following information:
- Full Name (on Mayet)
- WSD and Non-WSD email address
- Your Preferred cohort (we will do our best to cohort them appropriately):
- Cohort A – Animation (includes art, animation, and sound)
- Cohort B – IDM & Film (includes coding, game design, film, make up, photography, editing, VFX)
- Cohort C – Post-Secondary (only those accepted into VFS or Think Tank Training post-secondary programs)
- Mr Leduc and Mr Alibudbud will reply to your email about your cohort request before September 13. We are planning on having meetings with new post high cohorts on Monday, September 14. Please note: Mr. Leduc and Mr. Alibudbud must be invited to attend to ensure social distancing.
