Sisler CREATE students gained insight on animation sound design as part of a workshop by audio production professionals.
On February 4, 2021 Olaf Pyttlik and Giselle Nazareno from the Winnipeg-based DACAPO Productions spoke to students in a virtual presentation about their journey in the industry, DACAPO’s work, and effective sound design techniques. They also provided direct feedback on student projects.
Olaf Pyttlik, the owner of DACAPO Productions, has produced award-winning albums, created music for advertising, composed and performed original music for both feature length film and television series and has written and mounted three full-length original musicals. Giselle Nazareno works as an audio engineer for voice recording and editing on animated projects, as well as SFX creation.
DACAPO Productions is a creative, professional audio production company that provides services for all applications – including animation. Their animated projects include ‘Supa Strikas’, ‘Mind Blowing Breakthroughs’ and many more.
The session was coordinated by Sisler CREATE’s industry liaison Jeff Peeler, who will hosted and moderated the session. Peeler is a Winnipeg-based producer and executive producer, and the owner of the production company Three Film and Television.
