Kiara is graduating Grade 12 this year and is enrolled in the Sisler CREATE post-high program for the 2021/2022 school year. She plans to pursue a career in 2D Animation with a focus on concept art and illustration. Kiara is currently an intern at the Indigenous-owned production company Eagle Vision Inc.
“Kiara has an incredible work ethic and serious leadership qualities,” said CREATE Department Head Jamie Leduc. “I am so trilled that her skill and achievements are being recognized through this scholarship. She has a bright future ahead of her.”
The Carole Vivier Scholarship for Women in Film is awarded annually to a female or non-binary graduate of the CREATE program who is planning to study film or animation. The scholarship is named after longtime Manitoba Film & Music (MFM) CEO & Film Commissioner Carole Vivier. It was established upon Vivier’s retirement in 2019 after 30 years at MFM. She was a leader in growing Manitoba’s film and music industries into what they are today.
