The Carole Vivier Scholarship for Women in Film was established in honour of Carole Vivier upon her retirement as the CEO & Film Commissioner of Manitoba Film & Music. Carole has been a leader in Manitoba’s creative sector for over 30 years, and was instrumental in making the film and music industries what they are today.
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating woman or non-binary student of the Sisler High School CREATE Program (Grade 12 or post-grad) who has been accepted to a recognized post-secondary film or animation program. Students pursuing studies in the CREATE post-high program are also eligible.

Criteria
- Applicant must be a full-time Grade 12 or post-grad student at Sisler High School.
- Applicant must be a student of the Sisler CREATE Program.
- Applicant must be on-track to graduate at the end of the school year.
- Applicant must currently be accepted to a recognized post-secondary film or animation program for the following year OR be pursuing studies in the CREATE post-high program.
- Applicant must have a demonstrated skill and passion for the intended area of study.
Application Process
The applicant must submit the following items:
- Completed scholarship application form.
- Proof of acceptance into a post-secondary film or animation program (photocopy of letter of acceptance).
- A paragraph demonstrating the applicant’s skill and passion for the intended area of study (no more than 500 words).
- A portfolio of 5 works
Selection Process
The recipient will be selected based on their demonstrated skill (quality of work) and passion for the intended area of study.
