During his grade 12 year at Sisler, Kevin excelled in his project management class, also known as Digital Voices, working with his team “Paroxysm” to create the short film “Eli”. With a passion for Visual Effects and Film, Kevin graduated in 2016 with a $5k scholarship to Vancouver Film School where he pursued his post-secondary education in the Film Production program.
Kevin now works at Farpoint Films as an Editor/Camera Operator/GFX Editor/Assistant Editor. His previous projects include TV documentary series “Ice Vikings” (2021), Targeted for Murder (2022), and Alive (2021). With over 6 years of industry experience Kevin is (in his words) “pretty much living the dream”.
What inspired Kevin to start filmmaking was his love of the 2010 Youtube Era. Drawn to creators like NigaHiga, Kevin began to make videos with his friends with the simple goal of making each other laugh. Over time he grew more inspired by filmmakers/directors BRTHR and Gibson Hazard which directly influenced his work on music videos and recap videos for artists Lil Mosey and 88Glam (now disbanded).
In his spare time, Kevin produces music which has garnered millions of views on Youtube over the past 8 years. His music ranges in many different genres like progressive house, trap, lofi, and rap/R&B beats. Also known as ksolis, (@prod.ksolis on instagram) Kevin’s music has been used on feature films, tv shows, and ads for brands like Adidas, BMW, and JD Sports!
Kevin’s favourite memory at CREATE was getting to collaborate with other creatives.
