During their time at Sisler, Mandy took Sisler CREATE Interactive Digital Media (IDM) classes that developed their animation and project management skills. Throughout the years, they worked on various projects such as the animated school projects Tinker (2018), Lucid Dreams (2019), and Astro Aries (2020).
After graduating from Sisler in 2019, Mandy received the LHT Top Collaborator Scholarship. In the following year, they returned to complete the CREATE Post-High Program and was awarded a Full Tuition Scholarship to pursue their post-secondary education in Vancouver Film School’s Classical Animation Program!
Mandy has experience working as an Educational Consultant for Toon Boom Animation where they helped in the development of a high school animation curriculum. In 2022, they worked as a Training & Marketing Coordinator developing large-scale and long-term events for the Winnipeg Film Group. Mandy most-recently worked as a Background Animator for the production of “Ma-Buhay!”, an all-Filipino musical based in Manitoba.
Mandy’s goal right now is to continue working hard and animating so that she may one day become a showrunner!
Mandy’s most notable memories from Sisler were all the times they’d be working in Room 57 and suddenly break into dance/song to “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan and “My Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira.
