On February 2, 2023, CREATE welcomed over 100 middle years students to Sisler to learn the basics of filmmaking and video game creation.
CREATE’s post-high students mentored their younger counterparts in the creation of short films and games throughout the day. The short films were edited by post-high students the next day, and showcased at an online Zoom screening Monday February 6.
The event’s keynote speakers were Paul Donnett of Writer Jump and Rebecca Harrison of Flighty Felon Games.
Event sponsors were New Media Manitoba, Eagle Vision Inc., Ubisoft, IATSE 856 and ACTRA Manitoba.
