This year’s Carole Vivier Scholarship for Women in Film recipient is Annie Castiblanco!
Annie is a Post-High student under the 2D Animation cohort in the CREATE Program. She worked with the Jamfilled Jammers, helping develop the series pitch, ‘Secrets of Belmonte.’ Her talents have been praised by her industry mentors, teachers and fellow students, as well as her kind and fun personality, creating an inclusive environment for everyone around.
“Annie is a strong leader with a great work ethic, and she knows how to inspire people and make the task at hand fun,” said a student.
Huge congratulations to Annie and a huge thank you to Carole Vivier for her kind words and continued support of the program!
The Carole Vivier Scholarship for Women in Film is awarded annually to a female or non-binary graduate of the CREATE program who is planning to study film or animation. The scholarship is named after longtime Manitoba Film & Music (MFM) CEO & Film Commissioner Carole Vivier. It was established upon Vivier’s retirement in 2019 after 30 years at MFM. She was a leader in growing Manitoba’s film and music industries into what they are today.
