POST-HIGH FYIs for the 2024-45 School Year

School Day Structure:

The post-high program follows the regular WSD school year calendar, classes begin in September and end in June. The post-high program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Should I have a job during post-high?

It is recommended you do not work during the school year.

Can I take other classes outside the CREATE program during post-high?

No, you may only take CREATE vocational courses.

What is the length of the Post-High Program?

10 months (September to June) 9:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Is there a cost to the Program?

Free for students who reside within the Manitoba, Canada in 2024-25

Do I need my own equipment/technology to participate in the Post-High Program? 

No

How much homework should I expect during the the Post-High Program? 

This varies, but expect at least 2 hours of homework per day.

What kind of supplies should I get for the Post-High Program? 

A notebook/sketchbook (depending on your cohort), pencils, pens, a large capacity USB storage drive

Are there any Certification offered?

Students may receive a certificate in Creative Industries Training.
