Today was a BIG day for CREATE’s post-high students with the new announcement of The Schroeder Institute of Entertainment and Media Arts at Red River College! Two new programs – Animation and Entertainment Production Management will be launched in the fall of 2025, which we are incredibly excited for. 🎬

With the launch of these programs, we will be seeing a development in animation and digital media in Manitoba with it being a more accessible option for those interested in this path. Not just that, this will be great for attracting studios for potential jobs right here in Manitoba. Luckily for our Sisler CREATE post-high students, they get advanced placement into the program and college level accreditation!

We are so in awe of the giant donation made by the Schroeder Foundation to this program, a whopping $15-million, the largest donation made in RRC Polytech’s history. It’s nothing short of exciting for our students to be provided this opportunity to break into the industries they are passionate about, and that they can do it locally at that!
