We CREATE Superheroes

Artists in Sisler High School’s CREATE program have designed the Superhero alter-egos of some fellow students.

As part of The Superhero Project, an international initiative that enlists volunteer artists to create the superhero alter-egos of children with disabilities or critical illnesses, students from the CREATE program partnered with students from Sisler’s Community Access, Life Skills and Inclusion Education.

At the beginning of the project, students from Inclusion Education completed a questionnaire about their interests, values, family and priorities. The CREATE students then used this information to design their superhero alter-ego. The designs were then made into a poster, which each student will take home. The students also get a write-up, explaining the superhero, their special powers, and why certain design elements appear.
