Alumni Spotlight: Aidan Langdon!

Aidan graduated from Sisler in 2017 having taken IDM classes on animation, concept art, and 3D asset design. He continued his education in Vancouver Film School’s Concept Art course and graduated as Class Representative in 2020. Later that year, Aidan joined VFS staff as a Teaching Assistant for the Animation Concept Art program and has since worked his way up to become the current Program Coordinator at VFS.

Having grown up with Bill Watterson’s “Calvin and Hobbes” comics, Aidan has always had a love of art and storytelling. While he was a student at Sisler, he worked with Kayleigh Swinn to produce the animated short “Leduck Tales” which has since become an iconic staple to the students and staff at CREATE!

Aidan has big dreams of becoming an Art Director for an animated film and wants to continue telling stories through the art he makes, the stories he writes, and characters he voices.

“One of my favourite memories at Sisler was being invited to a guest presentation with Trent Correy from Disney Animations, and being told about his work on Frozen and Moana.”
