Sisler’s CREATE program is a new publicly funded entertainment arts training program located in the inner city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The school’s demographics are primarily children of immigrants or are second generation Canadians.
The program provides high school and post-high students with an educational pathway to creative industries worldwide. Starting in grade 9, students in the program build foundational skills with hardware and software while using a wide range of creative toolsets. As students progress through the program they specialize in a chosen creative field and apply their skills in project-based courses.
The program culminates in post-high by providing portfolio development, studio training and certification. We offer 24 creative classes (Grades 9 Through Post-High) and have over 1000 student course registrations in our CREATE program.
Since 2015, 82 of our grads have chosen post-secondary programs in the creative fields. Our alumni have already secured employment, working for: Atomic Cartoons, Amblin Studios, EA Studios, Moving Picture Company (MPC), Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Studios, Vancouver Film School, Tangent, Mr X and VMC Studios (to name a few, many are working for smaller studios).
