CREATE at Skills Canada
Sisler High School’s CREATE program has established a literal dynasty in the 2D Animation category since 2021 (first year competing). We have consistently swept the provincial podium and secured multiple national gold medals.
Here is a breakdown of their performance in the 2D Character Computer Animation category:
Skills Manitoba (Provincial Results)
Sisler has maintained a dominant “sweep” at the provincial level, frequently taking Gold, Silver, and Bronze in the same year.

Skills Canada (National Results)
The Gold medalists from Manitoba advance to the National competition. Sisler students have won three national gold medals in the last four years.
- 2024: Gold Medal – Nev Michelle & Kaya Schulz.
- 2023: While Sisler dominated provincially, the national gold in this specific year went to another province, as Sisler students could not represent Manitoba as they had their showcase at Nickelodeon in Burbank.
- 2022: Gold Medal – Bianca Solis & Kimberly Chau.
- 2021: Gold Medal – Bianca Solis & Kimberly Chau (earned the right to represent Canada at WorldSkills).










2021 Skills Canada
Sisler CREATE student teams received a total of 4 medals at the Skills Manitoba Competition this year, and two teams will continue on to Skills Canada.
A 2D Animation team made up of Bianca Solis and Kimberly Chau won Gold in their category, while Sam Balanial and Xierra Cansino won Bronze.
Post-high student Breinard Cruz won Bronze for 3D Digital Game Art.
The Gold medal winners will continue on to the Skills Canada competition.

Sisler CREATE students took the gold, silver and bronze medals at this year’s Skills Manitoba competition in the 2D Animation category.

Gold Medal Winners: Kimberly Chau and Bianca Solis

Bronze Medal Winners: Xierra Cansino and Sam Balanial

Kimberly and Bianca swept both the Skills Manitoba and Skills Canada competitions last year. They will once again continue on to the Skills Canada competition in BC this year.
After winning Gold and Skills Manitoba, 3D Digital Game Art artist Dana McCoy travelled to Vancouver to compete in the post-secdonary category. She won Gold for Skills Canada on May 28.

Sisler CREATE teams dominated the animation categories for the 2023 Skills Manitoba animation competitions.
CREATE 2D animation teams took bronze, silver and gold, while a CREATE 3D animation team took gold.
