Logline:
In a world healing from an apocalypse long forgotten, Pru survives on his own while caring for his comatose brother with the little resources they have.
Story Structure:
Once upon a time:
- Lived Pru and their comatose sibling Kyu, surviving all alone in a world where the desolate remains of civilization is overrun by nature’s aquatic creatures.
Every day:
- Pru cares for and keeps Kyu alive by maintaining the machine they are hooked up to. This machine was found in an abandoned hospital, to which they had taken shelter in.

But one day:
- Pru finds that they are needing more power to keep the technology running, so they venture out for a new power source. Upon finding one, they are discovered by a monster that feeds off that same power source and they are chased down.
- A storm erupts and a power line falls onto the hospital where they live, knocking the power out and destroying half of the machinery while Pru is out scavenging.
Because of that:
- Pru loses the monster, and comes back to Kyu on the verge of dying, and so they panic and begin frantically checking and adjusting the technology, to no avail.
Because of that:
- Pru hauls Kyu on their back to an old laboratory that hasn’t been opened in years. They use the power source they found to power the place up.
Because of that:
- Pru hooks up kyu to a computer, and starts to type nervously.
- The monster notices the lights come on at the laboratory. As it tries to bust in, loud banging and thuds reverberate through the walls.
Until finally:
- The monster breaks through, and right as it lunges forward, it is eradicated by a robot that has suddenly come on.
- This robot is Kyu’s consciousness puppeteering its mechanical body.
End:
- Pru is in shock. After a pause, Pru begins to ugly cry, and they hug.
