Sisler High School’s CREATE program is thrilled to be able to connect with Rise Up Animation – an initiative aimed at helping people of colour rise up in the animation industry through mentorship and feedback.
Rise Up was created by working studio professionals Trent Correy, Frank Abney and Bobby Pontillas. Their goals are to encourage diverse talent in the industry by building skills and confidence, and to create a community that champions diversity within the animation industry.
Three Sisler CREATE students will receive one-on-one mentorship and feedback on their work through Rise Up Animation. Animators Josie Trinidad, Bobby Pontillas, Erin Ramos and John Aquino will also engage with CREATE students with a virtual talk about their journey through the industry.
