CREATE Students Work with The Superhero Project

Sisler CREATE student will be designing superheroes based on the alter egos of kids and teens with serious illnesses and special needs, as part of a collaboration with The Superhero Project.

Launched in 2017, The Superhero Project interviews kids and teens about their superhero alter egos – what they stand for, what powers they have, what they look like and how they make the world a better place. The storytelling collaboration continues when artists design the characters the children have described, creating a visual representation of their strength, courage and resilience. Families receive inspiring posters of their superheroes to treasure forever.

Over 600 superheroes have participated and inspired artists with their creativity, humour, kindness and determination. Guided by their core values of imagination, inclusion, representation and joy, The Superhero Project recognizes the tremendous gifts and unique abilities that each child brings to the world.

CREATE has connected with project founder Lisa Kollins, who will work with students to design the superheroes.
