CREATE’s Kiara Hare Wins Indigenous Achievement Award

CREATE’s own Kiara Hare has been awarded the Manitoba Indigenous Youth Achievement Award for Women in Computology.

Hare is a post-high students in the CREATE program. She is currently leading a project called ‘Off Trail’ – a 3D interactive game experience based on the 7 teachings. You can watch a video about the project HERE.

The awards recognize the outstanding achievement of Manitoba’s Aboriginal youth who exhibit high standards of excellence, dedication, leadership and accomplishments in the following areas: Academic, Athletic, Artistic, Cultural, Community/Volunteer, Business/Entrepreneurial, Health, Personal Achievement, and Employment in a Traditional Field.  The MAYAA selection process is unique in that recipients are chosen by committees consisting of Aboriginal youth from the community.
